evolution comic chapter 1 review

The first chapter covers the beginnings of life up to the Cambrian Explosion. In the very beginning of Earth's creation, there was almost nothing but extreme weather and lava and boiling oceans. These oceans contained lots of organic chemicals, and we call this the "primordial" soup. Eventually, these joined together to create neucleotides and amino acids that eventually (after thousands of years) formed cells that further evolved (after millions of years) into the beings that walk the earth today.
The two types of cells are prokaryotic and eukaryotic. Prokaryotes are very basic and mostly single celled organisms. Examples of prokaryotes include bacteria and archaea bacteria. Eukaryotes are more complex and mostly multi-cellular organisms. Eukaryotic creatures are special because they have a nucleus in their cells that directs all of the other organelles. Plants, animals, and fungi are all eukaryotic.
